A Brief personal history...

I have a life-long interest and passion for all aspects of Natural History/Ecology, dating back to humble beginnings, in my early years, pond-dipping in the dykes, in the fields behind where I lived and biking 10 miles every Saturday to carry out Grey Heron nest counts at Hickling in my early teens. Much later, I undertook formal qualifications with a BSc. Hons in Environmental Biology and a PGCE. I have led fieldtrips for all ages and abilities and given talks and lectures on a wide range of scientific subject matter. Surveys carried out have included: Nest orientation of weaver birds in Kenya, Avian species in the Little Ouse river valley, Food colour preference of blue and great tits and bat surveys for Norfolk Wildlife Services. I have written bird reports for the Norfolk Ornithologists Association and articles for local magazines and wildlife clubs and recently worked for Speyside Wildlife, running the osprey photography in Speyside.
